Sign-Up

To begin the submission process, please create a user account by clicking on the ‘Sign-up’ link. It is important that you fill out the details accurately as information like Membership Status, Expertise and Programs or Conflicts are carried over to your Judge Sign-up and contact details (address, numbers, etc.) will be automatically pre-populated for the team members you are entering. When you complete the sign-up, you will be sent an email with your username and password which can be filed for future reference.

Judge Sign-Up

The judge sign-up is required if you or a colleague would like to be considered for the judging pool for the Daytime Emmy Awards. When you complete the sign-up, you will be sent an email confirming receipt of your application. You will be contacted at a later date by a member of the Daytime Emmys team to confirm participation details.

Dashboard

The Dashboard is where you can create new and see existing submissions.

To create a new submission, select the ‘Create New Submission’ button at the top.

The grid listing your submissions includes columns for the Category selected, The Show and the Entry Details (name you have assigned to the submission). There is also a column for the current status of that submission. Possible values for a submission status include Draft, Awaiting Payment and Complete.

In the commands section there are four possible icons.

The pencil icon allows you to edit a previous submission.

_

The ‘X’ icon allows you to delete the selected submissions.

_

The ‘Information’ icon allows you to print a ‘Producer Proof’ summary.

The ‘$’ icon allows you to print an invoice for your submission(s).


During the submission process, it is possible to select credit card payment, but defer payment to a single ‘bulk’ transaction at the end of the process. If you choose to take this approach instead of paying per submission, you may click the ‘Make Payment’ button on the Dashboard and select the submissions you wish to pay for.

Categories

On the Categories page you can select a single category as part of your submission. Clicking the ‘_’ icon next to the category name will provide detailed requirements for the category. When you have selected the appropriate category, click the ‘Next Section’ button to proceed.

Information

The Information page is where you enter details related to your show. Select your Show name and Network. If you do not see your production’s name, choose ‘Not in List’ and enter it manually. In Total Number of Episodes, specify the count of all the episodes of your show. Provide an Informational Essay, Plot Summary or Synopsis for the program, as well as a URL for the show if available.

Entrant Team Member Details

The Team Members section is where you specify details about the entrants associated with this category. A number of the fields are pre-populated with the address information you signed up with. If you need to include different address details, please simply delete and override the pre-populated data by clicking the ‘_’ button. You can add additional Team Members for consideration by clicking the ‘Add New Entrant’ button. You can delete team members that you have added by utilizing the ‘_’ button.

‘Copy Existing Entrant’ allows you to simply select team members whose details you have already included as part of a submission in a different category. Click the button, select the Team Members you want to include and click ‘Add’. We have also added the ability to import a spreadsheet of Team Members, by clicking ‘Click Here To Upload Team Member Spreadsheet’. You will need to follow the template which you can get by clicking ‘Download Excel Template’.

Media

This is the page to upload all the required files to this submission. Before proceeding to upload, be sure to check that your files are titled according to the category or submission so that you can easily identify them when searching, selecting and assigning them to this and any other entries.

If you are planning to use the same video file in multiple categories, you only need to upload it once then select and assign it to this and any other categories.

When uploading media, you will be prompted to install a plugin called Aspera. This is an upload accelerator that will make your uploads faster and increase the reliability of your data transfers when uploading via a wireless connection. If you have trouble installing the plug-in, please contact Yangaroo Technical Support.

There are three tabs available in the Add Files dialogue.

Upload New Files is where you initiate uploads to the currently selected entry. Click the Select Files button to locate files on your computer or network. Click Upload Files to start the transfer.

Files Added To Submission is a listing of media that you have added to your current entry but have not mapped to a specific category.

Add Existing Files allows you to select files that you have uploaded as part of other entries, but also include in your currently selected entry.

You are able to Close the dialogue and your upload will continue in the background. When all of your uploads are completed, you must map the relevant uploads to the appropriate category and required file.

Summary

The Summary page shows you all of the data you enter as part of this category submission. You should ensure that all of the details accurately reflect the data you entered previously. You don’t need to worry about printing this page, as a PDF ‘Producer Proof’ version of this page is available from the Dashboard upon completion. Select ‘Pay Later’ or ‘Pay Now’ to complete your submission.

Payment

You may choose to pay via Credit Card or Check.

If you select Check, an address and details will be provided for you to send your Check. Please allow 5-10 business days for processing.

If you select Credit Card you will be taken to a page where you may enter the billing address details for the credit card you will be utilizing. The address of the submitter is pre-populated but can be overridden.

Please note that you can also choose to pay for all your submissions in ‘Bulk’ at the end of the process. To do this, simply click the ‘Cancel’ button on the credit card page. You will be taken back to the Dashboard and your submission status will update to ‘Awaiting Payment’. When you have completed all of your submissions, simply click the ‘Make Payment’ button on the dashboard and you can select one or multiple entries to pay for.
